I haven’t experienced any issues across the board with a decent workload going on across other apps and Figma running. It is a great choice if one display is not enough. I’ve been on the M1 MBAir, 16gb 512gb, for three weeks now.

It even lets you use an iPad as the main display for a Mac mini instead of a traditional monitor. It is compatible with much older Macs (no need for macOS Catalina or later). It is not just for iPads – it lets you use another Mac as a second display if you prefer, which Sidecar does not. Wouldn’t it be good to be able to combine the two? Well, with Luna Display (opens in new tab) you can – it extends your Mac desktop onto your iPad, giving you a de facto second monitor.īut why not just use Sidecar in macOS instead? Well, Luna Display goes much further. At the same time, many of us have an iPad at home that we use when we are away from the computer. Chrome runs better for some reason as well on m1. I guess that would speed up figma to some degree. Having reusable interactive elements cuts down on time spent prototyping, and helps you reach higher levels of fidelity for better feedback and testing. I think without a doubt that most apps run really well and faster on m1. Luna Displayīuying a second display for your Mac can really help improve your workspace, but most options are not on the cheap side. Interactive components allow you to define interactions and animations between variants in a component set, so instances are immediately alive in prototyping mode.
